Kelly Kissock serves as Faculty Director of the UC Davis Energy and Efficiency Institute, Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and the Chevron Endowed Chair in Energy Efficiency. He is also a Faculty Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Prior to joining EEI, Kelly was Professor and Chair of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Dayton, Director of the Renewable and Clean Energy M.S. program, and Director of the Industrial Assessment Center. Prior to that, Kissock served as a research engineer at the Center for Air Pollution Impact and Trend Analysis at Washington University, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Vienna, Austria, the Energy Systems Laboratory at Texas A&M University and the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies at Princeton University. He received a B.S. from the University of Colorado, an M.S. from the University of Washington, and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
Kelly’s teaching and research focuses on building, industrial, and renewable energy systems. His work has been recognized with the Distinguished Educator Awards by Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, U.S. Department of Energy Center of Excellence Awards, and the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy Champion of Energy Efficiency award.
